This intimate workshop will engage your primordial senses and create meditative space through working with raw, unpolished material. You will simultaneously be able to document the whole process and the beautiful island of Andros through photography.

In this spring workshop, our friends and the trio behind herbalist brand Rhoeco will host a herbal masterclass and talk us through creating an edible floralscaping guided in colourful collaboration with Athens-based floral studio Kopria.

Late summer days on Andros are a magical thing. Though the air is warm and the days are long, a blanket of stillness settles as the island slows in preparation for end-of-year hibernation. During this time of year, we begin to crave comfort. Days are spent basking in the soft, hazy light, and nights are filled with cosy fires and warming plates of home-cooked food.

When the seasons change, we naturally feel the need to hibernate. To warm ourselves by the fire, settle inside, and seek comfort in delicious bakes that warm the soul. In this weekend retreat, we will be using our hands with a dough-baking masterclass and learning how to craft ceramics that we can use in the kitchen and on the table. All of this will be focused around the hearth of the house – the wood-fire oven.
